Threading

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal originating in Central Asia, Nepal and India. In threading, a thin (cotton or polyester) thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short lines of hair including ingrown hair which waxing can not. Threading is very precise, allowing control for perfect shaping.

Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin. Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create a better definition for eyebrows. It is also used as a method of removing unwanted hair on the entire face and upper lip area. Unlike waxing, electrolysis, and laser hair removal, threading is 100% eco-friendly. There’ll be no toxic chemicals and no electricity, just two simple pieces of thread. The results of threading are long-lasting because hairs are pulled from the root rather than snapped. Threading causes minimal trauma to delicate facial tissue. The treatment process is quick and can be administered in just a few minutes.
